LGBTQ+ Alumni Council Scholarship
Every year numerous LGBTQ+ students delay or abandon
their higher educational goals because they don't have family financial resources
or emotional support due to their sexual orientation or gender
identity. These scholars often face blatant and violent
discrimination because they simply want to be themselves.
The Georgia College LGBTQ+ Alumni Council is working to
ease some of the financial challenges these students face through the GCSU
LGBTQ+ Alumni Council Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to students
who self-identify as LGBTQ+ and have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours at
Georgia College (or from a transfer approved institution).
As either an alumnus or community ally, we seek your support to help fund this critical scholarship program, which will help lessen the financial pressure of higher education so that these bright students can focus on the important work of academic achievement.
