Elevator Pitch Competition Makes Visible Student Impact
Put your best pitch forward!
An elevator pitch is all that you can tell a prospective employer about yourself--your education, skills, and career goals--in the length of an elevator ride. Could you do it?
Each semester, the Georgia College Elevator Pitch Competition puts close to 500 undergraduate College of Business students in front of recruiters, hiring managers, and industry professionals to pitch themselves in a minute. The goal is to not only be named a finalist but to land an interview with one of the companies.
The competition is critically important for student growth both personally and professionally and leads to job offers for many contestants.
The ability to deliver a well-crafted elevator pitch is a lifetime tool students can use for networking, chance meetings with a dream employer, career fairs, and even job interview introductions. The 2020 pandemic challenges required technological adjustments to host the competition online, but the first-round pitches were successfully conducted via Zoom in early October. The Fall 2020 competition resulted in hiring managers requesting introductions with 155 top students from the field of 400 competitors. The finalists will be named October 19.
Your generous support helps continue a program making a visible impact for Georgia College students.
