For our LGBTQ+ Bobcat population, a community where they feel supported, valued, and accepted is vital. We estimate that 10-15% of current Georgia College students identify as LGBTQ+, and over the past few years our LGBTQ+ Programs has seen an increase in the number of students, staff, and faculty (community members and allies alike) who seek opportunities to engage with us - whether that’s through attending a training to grow in their allyship, celebrating the accomplishments of our LGBTQ+ graduates, getting support when coming out, or just spending time in community with each other.
As LGBTQ+ Programs continues to grow, funding for diversity programs continues to decrease across the nation, and we need your support. Make a donation today to support LGBTQ+ Programs. Your gift will have an immediate impact both on our LGBTQ+ community and the Georgia College community as a whole, as it will help us provide increased programming, events, and other opportunities centering the experiences of our LGBTQ+ students.
This Coming Out Week, donate today and help us reach our goal: $1969 in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Stonewall! We are so thankful for you; any amount will make a difference.
